“Shift2” oscillates between different levels of reality. The facade of the MIAT is – as a kind of fabric – detached from the real surface of the building, is processed in a “absurd digital factory”, becomes part of a stage setting and finally returns to the building.
Carefully and emotionally simple gripping devices mediate between historical significance, architectural conditions and absurd imaginary spaces.
